The objective of building climate is to achieve a comfortable climate in the building by the use of energy-saving and sustainable building techniques. In addition the required technical equipment should be reduced to a minimum in order to achieve savings in investment and operational costs.
This requires a holistic design approach that takes into account the interdependencies between the user, facade, building structure and technical building equipment. For this we often use modern simulation tools during the design process.
The main goal is to provide a maximum protection against external impacts by means of passive measures concerning the building construction, such as glazed facades, storage masses, and the systematic use of natural resources, such as daylight, natural ventilation, solar or geothermal energy.
