The legal immission protection licence of a plant according to § 10 or § 19 of the Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz, BImSchG [Federal Immission Control Act] or their essential change according to § 16 of BImSchG states that detrimental effects to the environment and other dangers, significant disadvantages and significant strain for the general public and surroundings may not be caused. Also, precautions against environmental influence must be made, in particular with the appropriate state-of-the-art measures for limiting emissions.
We calculate smokestack heights and immission prognoses for our customers according to German Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA Luft), create the documents on the general site-related preliminary examination of the environmental compatibility according to the Environmental Impact Assessment Act (UVPG), including environmental impact analysis if necessary, and compose safety analyses in the scope of the licensing procedure. We help put together application documents or assume the entire preparation of a licensing application.
When necessary, we use sophisticated computer tools such as a TA Luft 2002-compliant Lagrange particle dispersion model with upstream three-dimensional wind field modelling. The dispersion of air pollutants can thus be simulated realistically for complex premises.
