Lothar Cremer obtains a business license in Munich to operate a consulting engineering office for acoustics technology.

 
 

Lothar Cremer is appointed director of the university Institute of Technical Acoustics in Berlin, and his student Helmut A. Müller takes over the operation of the 'Schalltechnische Laboratorium Prof. Dr. Cremer'.
Helmut A. Müller continues the operation of the Munich office under his own name. New areas of activity - industrial noise abatement, noise control in urban structures and noise control in ship structures - are added to the original major areas of specialisation, which were building and room acoustics.

 
 

Müller–BBN GmbH is founded with five partners, including Bolt Beranek Newman Inc.
The company has 34 employees. Bolt Beranek Newman Inc. sell their shares, and the company name is changed to Müller–BBM.

 
Müller-BBM acquires a share in "M+P Raadgevende ingenieurs bv" in the Netherlands.

 
 

The company has 54 employees and moves into a new office building in Planegg, near Munich. Growth occurs in new areas: software and measurement systems, vibration control, and machine acoustics.
Additional laboratories, test facilities and training rooms are built in a new section of the building.

 
 

The company has 74 employees. The fields of air quality control and thermal physics of buildings are built up.

Dresden office opened.
 
Müller–BBM at times produces and markets some of the results and inventions that have come out of our consulting activities. BBM Technik GmbH was formed in 1991 for this purpose, and in 2005 was merged with the BBM GERB Akustik GmbH to form the "BBM Akustik Technologie GmbH".

 
 

The company has 135 employees. Work in vehicle acoustics shows especially strong growth, while noise abatement and psychoacoustics gain in importance.

"Müller–BBM VibroAkustikSysteme GmbH" is founded in order to handle the large growth in the area of measurement software.
New facilities are opened in Planegg, with extensive laboratory areas for psychoacoustics and an acoustic anechoic chamber.

 
 

Gelsenenkirchen office opened. The company now has a total of 150 employees.
New vehicle acoustics test stands are placed in operation.

 
 

Müller–BBM aquires a majority holding (increased to 100% in 2004) in the "Orga Lab GmbH" in Zirndorf near Fürth, in order to round out the service offerings in the enviromental analysis area.
In addition to the existing reverberation room, Müller–BBM placed a new reverberation chamber with optimal mode denisty into operation.

 
 

On 1.Jan.2005 Müller–BBM took control of "Peter Quast GmbH", now "Quast–BBM GmbH", in Gelnhausen near Frankfurt, in order to strengthen the country-wide presence in the area of air pollution control.
 

Hamburg office opened.
 

Founding of the "Müller–BBM International GmbH".
As of January 1, complete integration of the "Quast–BBM GmbH" in Müller–BBM branch office Gelnhausen.
