Notifications
Müller-BBM is a notified body, in accordance with §§ 26, 28 BImSchG (Federal Immissions Protection Law), for the determination of emissions and immissions of air pollution, noise and vibration impact as well as for the verification of the proper installation, operation and calibration of continuously operating equipment for the measurement of air pollutants and, furthermore, for the verification of incineration conditions.

The calibration laboratory is accredited by Deutsche Kalibrierdienst (DKD, accreditation body of the German calibration service) at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB, German national metrorology institute) as calibration laboratory for acoustics and acceleration. The registration number is DKD-K-25201.

The testing laboratories of the units Noise and Vibration Control, Air Pollution Control, Electromagnetic Environmental Compatibility and Measurement of Hazardous Substances are accredited for the procedures listed in the accreditation certificate according to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025. The registration numbers are DGA-PL-2465.10, DGA-PL-2465.20, DGA-PL-2465.30 and DGA-PL-2465.40.

Competence assessments with regard to specific industries
The acoustic measurement facilities at our headquarters in Munich and at the subsidiaries in Berlin and Dresden are listed in the directory of VMPA noise control test facilities published by Verband der Materialprüfungsämter e.V. (VMPA, Association of material testing offices). Their registration numbers are VMPA-SPG-194-97-BY, VMPA-SPG-159-97-B and VMPA-SPG-156-97-SN.
Müller-BBM is recognised by Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA, German Federal Railways Office) as a testing facility for railway engineering tests on rail vehicles. The recognition encompasses the measurement of airborne and structure-borne sound, the testing of the vibration behaviour of rail vehicle structures and the testing of the environmental compatibility of (EMC) of components for rail vehicles. The identification number is EBA-12/02/09.
Müller-BBM is approved as subcontractor of the notified body interoperability EBC. This approval includes tests according to DIN EN 17025 within the scope of activities according to the directive 2001/16/EG and its technical specifications for interoperability (TSI).
Müller-BBM was granted the seal of conformity of Fördergemeinschaft Windenergie (FGW, Association for the promotion of wind energy) for the measurement of noise emission values of wind turbines.
