In our material testing laboratory, we measure acoustic and structural-dynamic characteristics, such as the dynamic stiffness of floating floor materials, the flow resistance of absorptive materials and loss factors. A Kundt's tube can be used to measure the sound absorption and sound transmission coefficient of small samples with perpendicular sound incidence.

The following building materials and products can be investigated in our test stand with different methods:

• Flow resistance of textiles, fabrics, fibrous insulation material, drill cores
• Surveillance of fibrous insulation material
• Dynamic stiffness of materials for impact sound insulation
• Acoustic impedance, vibration behaviour and loss factors of sheet metal and panels
