In our reverberation room the sound absorption coefficient αs of materials can be determined according to DIN EN ISO 354 (2003-12). Furthermore, the absorbtion of sound insulating walls can be measured according to ZTV-Lsw 88, the sound power of noise sources can be measured with accuracy class 1 according to DIN EN ISO 3741.
Room specifications:
- Room volume 200 m³
- Room surface 216,3 m²
- Frequency-dependent reverberation times T of the empty room with diffusers between 2.5 and 7.9 s in the frequency range 125 – 4000 Hz
The following building materials and products can be investigated in the test stand:
- Sound absorption: acoustic ceilings, wall coverings, furniture, theatre seats, curtains, light diffusers and car interiors
- Sound power: fans, motors, drive systems, cellular base stations, gas flowmeters, vehicle components.
