80 new jobs for Gelsenkirchen - Müller-BBM expands its presence in Nordrhein-Westfalen

Müller-BBM Holding AG with its corporate seat at Planegg near Munich, with 1,200 worldwide employees and an annual turnover of 130 million euros will merge its three Ruhr area sites in the Nordsternpark in Gelsenkirchen. The corporate group’s companies, which are specialized in acoustics, environmental protection and building physics provide consulting and test services for industrial clients and building construction but also produce noise protection and software products.

Apart from the 40 employees which already work in Müller-BBM’s Branch Office in Gelsenkirchen, the employees of BBM Akustik Technologie GmbH in Mülheim and from BBM Gerber Technologie GmbH in Dortmund shall be pooled in a newly erected office building. The new building will have a total usable area of 3.600 m² and provide space for up to 120 workplaces. The building’s completion is planned for 2018. In a building expansion, there will be enough space for test stands, measurement vehicles, and workshop areas.

As a first step, the Nordsternpark GmbH as land owner, the city of Gelsenkirchen as well as Müller-BBM Holding AG as future developer signed a Key Issues Paper with the framework conditions for purchasing a property with a size of 7.000 m² in the Northeast of the Nordsternpark. Norbert Suritsch, Chief Executive Officer of Müller-BBM Holding AG: “We are pleased that our very constructive negotiations resulted in an investment of more than 10 million Euros. For our colleagues – most of which are stockholders of Müller-BBM – we will offer optimum working conditions in the heart of the Ruhr area and have a new basis for the future development of the company group.”
