Hazardous substances in the air of working areas according to the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances

In order to provide even more safety to industrial companies and traders concerning workplace evaluations, Müller-BBM continuously extends the scope of accreditation of its measuring facility for hazardous substances. This concerns hazardous substances in the air of working areas according to Article 7, section 10, classes 1 to 5 of the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances and relates in particular to the measuring methods according to TRGS 402 Appendix 3 No. 3.1 section 7. On 3rd April 2017, the German Accreditation Body (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH – DAkkS) delivered the certificate with the extended scope of testing to the responsible expert. Sampling can be offered decentralized and with great proximity to our customers from our headquarters in Planegg as well as from our subsidiaries in Cologne, Dresden, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Weimar and Berlin. The analyses will be carried out in our laboratories in Planegg, Stuttgart and Nuremberg.

Stocktaking of the exposure to hazardous substances by means of accredited measuring methods is one element for the elaboration of complete hazard assessments. Hazard assessment is the central element in occupational safety. It forms the basis for a systematic and successful health and safety management. Adequate control measurement plans and advice concerning measures to reduce exposure to hazardous substances provide safety for workplace evalutions with regard to the legal requirements.
