Expert reports on odour impact forecasts and odour immission measurements at the OMTCS in Toronto
Walter Grotz (Managing Director at Müller-BBM GmbH) and Dr. Matthias Bender (Managing Director at Müller-BBM Cert GmbH) shared their expert knowledge with 32 other lecturers and 200 participants of the Odour Management Conference & Technology Showcase from 2015-09-14 until 2015-09-15.
For the erection or expansion of plants presenting potential risks of emitting odour, authorities request expert reports with forecasts of potential environmental impacts as part of the applications for approval.
With the papers "Odour emissions and air-borne pollution in the paper industry in Germany" (Grotz) and " Odour emissions from refinery sites" (Bender), Müller-BBM's approach for the determination of odour emissions and immissions as well as the reasons for odour development were presented taking into account the German regulations and laws.
