Seminar of the Berlin Administrative School (Berliner Verwaltungsakademie VAK) on the subject "Basics of sound immission measurements“

On 14th June 2017 the VAK seminar was carried out in Müller-BBM’s subsidiary in Berlin. During the full-day seminar, the 20 participants from building and environmental authorities of different district administrations and the senate administration received information on the current basics of technical acoustics and building acoustis. Long-term Müller-BBM project engineers Dr. Benjamin Jäger and Thomas Goldammer gave lectures and presented information on the fields of measuring technology / measuring procedures, the measurement and assessment of neighbourhood noise, noise caused by restaurants and industry as well as by recreational activities and sports facilities, airborne and impact sound insulation (innovations of DIN 4109) and low-frequency noise.

The seminar was completed by sound samples and panel discussions. The participants gave a very positive assessment of the event, also with regard to its practical relevance, and praised the pleasant atmosphere and the superior technical equipment of the seminar rooms.

On the occasion of the 6th Müller-BBM expert discussions on 13th/14th September 2017, the subject of noise control in planning and authorization practice will be discussed again. Focus of the two-day expert meeting in Mercure Hotel MOA is on air pollution control and plant licensing as well as on noise control and urban land-use planning.
