Tailored training on fire and explosion protection for operators of biogas plants

Preventive fire and explosion protection as well as the general safety-related issues for running a biogas plant are essential requirements for the legally compliant operation of biogas plants. The factors to be taken into account have far-reaching consequences. In order to gain the required technical expertise, it is recommended to attend an appropriate seminar. So-called in-house training courses are, however, more intensive and targeted as they take place on site, directly at the customer's place. The topics of the course can be especially designed to meet the needs and the respective knowledge of the plant operator and the requirements of the plant itself. Our experts coordinate the topics of the training with the client in advance. Thus, knowledge and technical gaps can be filled. Questions of the operator’s team and identified key subjects of the plant technology can be dealt with individually and extensively. Questions and problems can be dealt with on site and remain in-house. For the client there will be no travel expenses and the timeframe of the training can be chosen flexibly within a range from half a day to two days. If there are no adequate rooms on the operator’s site, Müller-BBM offers the use of its seminar rooms at Planegg/Munich, Linsengericht (near Frankfurt), Dresden and Berlin and other event venues.

The modular structure of the training concept offers the operator of the biogas plant the choice and combination of the following topics:

  • explosion protection in general - basics and particularities of biogas plants
  • requirements of the new Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (Industrial Safety Regulation) and the Gefahrstoffverordnung (Hazardous Substance Regulation)
  • preparation of the EX protection document, risk assessment and of operating instructions
    (TRGS 555)
  • Biostoffverordnung (Biological Agents Regulation) and HACCP concept for practitioners
  • one-time and recurring documentation and inspection obligations of the plant operator
  • TRGS 529: processes and activities used when manufacturing biogas
  • lightning protection at biogas plants
  • biogas plants within the scope of the major accident ordinance according to the 12th BImSchV (Federal Emissions Protection Act)
  • Topics of the new AwSV (Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Substances Hazardous to Water) and handling its requirements
  • emergency management at biogas plant
