FEMtools™ model updating and optimisation
FEMtools™ bridges the gap between experiment and simulation. Data from simulations and measurements are imported, processed and correlated. Through quantifiable model validation FEMtools™ adds value to simulation models that might serve as a basis for reliable dynamic analyses. As a multi-functional CAE software FEMtools™ was designed for broad-based application on models of any size for structural analyses (automotive industry, aerospace, shipbuilding, civil engineering etc.).
The core module FEMtools™ Framework comprises data interfaces, an interactive graphic screen, script programming based on Visual-Basic with API (Application Programming Interface) incl. direct access to the entire data basis. With these features and with freely programmable additional routines FEMtools™ is good for universal use – including full automatisation and configuration by the user.
In addition: simultaneous access to several models in the data base offers the opportunity to couple models from various sources, e.g. on a modal basis (Modal Based Assembly MBA – Structural Dynamics Modification SDM – Component Mode Synthesis CMS) or via frequency responses (Frequency Based Assembly FBA – Transfer-Path-Analysis TPA).
FEMtools™ has interfaces to NASTRAN, ANSYS, I-DEAS and ABAQUS as well as the respective drivers for automatic background controlling of external solvers. The software package is available for Windows, Linux und Mac OS and can be smoothly integrated to an existing CAE environment.
