Electro-acoustic measurements

Electro-acoustic sound distribution systems must be precisely calibrated in order to ensure optimal use in particular acoustic conditions. Key parameters for electroacoustic measurements include the determination of speech intelligibility, direct sound coverage, local noise distribution and the transmission range of the system. Electroacoustic calibration by Müller-BBM involves precise adjustment of the level, frequency response, and delays of the different systems. In an iterative optimisation process, we examine metrologically representative audience seats and take special account of the auditory impression of experienced specialists.

Our engineers and sound engineers are especially able to bring acoustic perturbations caused by complex acoustic conditions that exist in concert halls and theatres for example, under control.

For quality assurance, we use the full array of measuring equipment available to us for accurately calibrating sophisticated systems in complex spaces.
