An Energy-Efficient and Pedagogic Learning Environment

Schmuttertal Secondary School in Diedorf received the 2016 Bavarian Energy Award

The new secondary school building in Diedorf, Bavaria, received another prestigious award. Since 1999, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology annually grants the Bavarian Energy Award to outstanding and innovative achievements in efficient energy generation and energy consumption. In addition to the first prize, the Ministry awards prizes in eight categories. In the category "Buildings as an energy system / building design", the architecture firms Florian Nagler Architekten GmbH, Munich, and Hermann Kaufmann Architekten ZT GmbH, Schwarzach / Austria, proudly received the award at the Maritim Hotel in Nuremberg on October 20, 2016. In this project, Müller-BBM was the consultant for room acoustics and building acoustics, thermal insulation and energy performance calculation as well as protection against external noise during all work phases including final acceptance testing and laboratory measurements (more information on this project in german).
