Annual general meeting of the VDSI region of South Bavaria in Planegg

Representatives of the VDSI region of South Bavaria held their annual general meeting at the premises of Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH in Planegg. Under the motto ‘Digital Solutions & AI in Occupational Safety and Health’, HSE managers from a wide range of industries met to exchange ideas.

The guests were welcomed by Walter Grotz, authorised signatory and consulting engineer, who introduced the engineering company and its range of services in his introductory talk, focusing on the field of hazardous substances and workplace measurements.

Heinz Waldmann, head of the VDSI region of South Bavariar, then reported on the activities of the VDSI region of South Bavaria in the past year and those planned for 2025 and 2026. He then opened the workshop to discuss and possibly improve the existing formats and activities in the South Bavarian region. After that, Björn Bücks (betriebsKLIMASCHÜTZER) presented the work of the VDSI department ‘HSE digital’. Alexander Hess (Anwander) and Volker Liebig (Müller-BBM Industry Solutions) presented practical HSE software solutions for operational use and for improving management processes. The event concluded with an entertaining workshop on storytelling in occupational safety with Clara Röder (Röder EHS Consulting) and a tour of the company, including a visit to test stands and technical facilities.

Background:
The VDSI (Association for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection at Work) is the largest professional association for safety, health and environmental protection at work in Germany. Around 5,600 members are working together towards the goal of making the working world safe and healthy. Hazards and pollution for people and the environment should be sustainably reduced and these values should also be permanently anchored in people's behaviour.
