Dr.-Ing. Silke Appel to be technically responsible.

On 1st October 2010, Dr.-Ing. Silke Appel took over the technical lead. Dr. Appel has many years of experience in the whole field of building dynamics such as vibration measurements and assessment, machine dynamics, traffic vibrations and earthquake engineering. Dr. Edwin Schorer says: "With the Büro für Baudynamik, our scope of services in the field of building dynamics is extended, above all with regard to continuous vibration monitoring and the investigation of artificial vibrations."

Mrs. Christa Gurr-Beyer and Mr. Karlheinz Beyer, the previous owners of BFB, founded the company in 1983 and have turned it into one of the leading engineering companies in the field of structural dynamics. They will also be involved in the transition phase.

The scope of services offered by BFB includes all aspects concerning the influence of dynamic loads, especially the effects of traffic loads, machine loads, wind and earthquakes on buildings, human beings, devices and machines. On the basis of exact vibration measurements, the BFB experts analyse and define vibration requirements for building projects of all kinds and offer assistance and consulting services. Their scope of services also includes retrofitting measures in case of deficiencies or rededication of already existing buildings. BFB offers the vibration exciter DYNAQ®, which is unique in its class.
