Climate impact assessment as well as innovations in the environmental sector through TA Luft and TA Lärm

The 15th Müller-BBM expert discussions were opened with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert, Head of the Department of Energy, Transport, Environment at the German Institute for Economic Research DIW Berlin and Co-Chair of the German Advisory Council on the Environment SRU, on 6th October 2021 with an urgent appeal to politics and society for a climate-neutral economy

For the first time since the corona pandemic, representatives of authorities, municipalities, plant operators and consulting companies met for a two-day conference organized by Müller-BBM GmbH. The intensive professional exchange about the current status of immission protection in planning and approval practice was fed by practice-related presentations.

In his address at the opening of the conference, Walter Grotz, a member of the management board of Müller-BBM, also affirmed that "the key political and social players must agree on common CO2 reduction targets in order to be able to tackle the enormous task of limiting the rise in temperature that lies ahead of us."

In the dialogue forum of the expert discussions with lectures on waste incineration, WGC-BREF, TA Luft, major accidents law, FFH preliminary assessment, urban land-use planning and noise control, as well as plenty of time for discussions, with the participation of Dr. Johannes Sander (Müller-BBM), Markus Gleis (Federal Environment Agency), Benjamin Wiechmann (Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V.), Michael Kortner (Müller-BBM), Dr. Helmar Hentschke (HSA Rechtsanwälte Hentschke & Partner Part mbB), Dr. Ulrich Mierwald (KIfL - Kiel Institute for Landscape Ecology), Dr. Martin Spieler (Andrea Versteyl Rechtsanwälte Partnergesellschaft mbB), Dr. Gernot Schiller (Redeker Sellner Dahs Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB), Dr. Benjamin Jäger (Müller-BBM), Manuel Männel (Müller-BBM), Dr. Andreas Meier (Müller-BBM), Dr. Gerhard Michael (Göhmann Rechtsanwälte Abogados Advokat Steuerberater Partnerschaft mbB) and Dr. Andreas Wasielewski (Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitalization of the State of Schleswig-Holstein), for two days the participants received information about current topics of immission control as well as future changes.
