Report on Immission Control 2014 of the Airport Berlin Brandenburg (BER) was published

In summer 2011, the Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) started a programme to investigate the environmental impact of the Airport BER over several years before the opening of the new airport. The environmental monitoring includes the operation of a stationary air quality measuring station on the Schönefeld Airport as central part of the project with an extensive measurement and analysis scope. The measurements are supplemented by voluntary investigations of the concentration of airborne pollutants in bio indicator plants (bio monitoring), by investigations of the potential emissions on bees and bee products (bee monitoring), and by odour immission measurements in the surroundings of the airport. All investigations are carried out by recognised experts or test laboratories. For the evaluation of the results from this environment investigation programme, comparative data from the air quality measurement network of the Landesamtes für Umwelt, Gesundheit und Verbraucherschutz (LUGV) of the federal state Brandenburg were used.

The subject of the Immission Control Report elaborated by Müller-BBM are the effects of  gaseous and particle-bound pollutants and odour.
