The Environment and Energy Committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce visits Planegg

Responding to the invitation of Müller-BBM GmbH, the Environment and Energy Committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for Munich and Upper Bavaria met in Planegg on 22nd November 2018.

Under the chairmanship of Dr. Florian Bieberbach, among other things options for low-emission mobility, the IHK positions on climate policy as well as current questions on business practice were discussed in the meeting.

After the welcome address by Walter Grotz and a short presentation of the host’s company as well as a welcoming speech held by the chairman Dr. Florian Bieberbach, Peter Kammerer reports about news from the IHK and Michael Pomrehn, Business Manager Energy Transition of Shell Deutschland Oil GmbH, informs about new energies at Shell. The comprehensive position paper of IHK/BIHK on climate policy was presented by Dr. Norbert Ammann and Evamaria Lutz of IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria, and discussed in plenary.

At the beginning of the committee meeting, the participants were offered an unforgettable hearing experience with a demonstration of the room acoustics system VIVACE. Its performance and unique possibilities were presented in Müller-BBM’s auditoria.

The Environment and Energy Committee deals with the framework conditions of environmental and energy policy across all industries and sectors at national, federal and EU level. Its work focuses on an economically compatible turnaround in energy policy and climate protection and the contribution that companies can make to achieve a higher resource efficiency.
