Very good result in the audit on systematic occupational safety management "Arbeitsschutz mit System (AMS)" carried out by VBG, the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association

For ten years now Müller-BBM GmbH has been operating a certified occupational health and safety management system. In 2018, the occupational safety management system was examined by VBG, the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association, according to the standard "Arbeitsschutz mit System (AMS) – systematic occupational safety management". "AMS" helps to use the company’s resources (human, social, material and spatial resources) as optimal as possible and to improve them continually. Here, all essential legal requirements on occupational safety are take into account, for example requirements from:

  • the German Occupational Safety Act,
  • the Workplace Ordinance,
  • the Industrial Safety Regulation,
  • Regulation 1 "Principles of Prevention2 of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) or
  • Regulation 2 "Occupational Physicians and Occupational Safety Experts" of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).

The effective implementation of the occupational safety management system was checked by the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association VBG within the scope of examinations at several sites – comparable to system audits for quality management.

The audit report comes to the following conclusion: "The examined occupational safety management system of the company Müller-BBM testifies to a well-structured and functioning organization corresponding to the criteria of the AMS. The company achieved a very good result in the audit." and "The requirements on an occupational safety management system according to the VBG expertise guideline "Arbeitsschutz mit System – systematic occupational safety management" are fulfilled. The requirements stated in OHSAS 18001:2007 (soon DIN ISO 45001) are also complied with".

On 26th September 2018 the AMS sculpture and the certificate were handed over, which is valid for three years.
