Preparations for the Bavarian horticultural show in Rosenheim are in full swing. So far, there isn’t much to be seen, but there is building activity everywhere. After the dams of the rivers Inn and Mangfall had been broadened and improved for flood protection purposes, building activities for the show itself started in February. Wherever Rosenheim citizens turn, they see construction machinery - hard to imagine what this part of town will look like in the future.

In order to protect the residents around the premises from excessive noise levels once the show opens in 2010, even at times when visitors come in great numbers, Müller-BBM has performed extensive noise calculations and predictions according to the ruling ordinance (18th BImSchV), taking into consideration the previously existing noise impact. These calculations are the basis for the assessment of the individual locations, for suggestions of locations and alternatives and, if necessary, of protective measures.

The horticultural show in Rosenheim in 2010 will bring lasting values to the city by creating attractive green spaces, recreation areas and room for encounters as well as new residential areas, all of which can count on an optimized acoustic environment once the results of Müller-BBM’s preliminary investigations have been implemented.
