Müller-BBM: Further expansion in the environmental field

Acquisition of the former company MPU in Berlin and relocation of the Cologne branch

Since 1992 Müller-BBM GmbH in Planegg near Munich has been represented by a branch office in Berlin. Now a new chapter is starting following the acquisition of the former MPU (Mess- und Prüfstelle Technischer Umweltschutz GmbH) which is located on Gradestraße in Berlin-Tempelhof. MPU has operated up to now as the Berlin branch under the company name Eurofins ERGO Forschungsgesellschaft.

The Berlin team of Müller-BBM has been increased by 15 employees and the services are being expanded considerably.

The branch office has been offering services very successfully mainly in the field of building construction with the speciality of building and room acoustics, thermal building physics, building climatology and noise control, as well as fire protection. At present, amongst other things, the office is also involved in the planning of the Spree Triangle and has now added the independent Section of "Environment and Air".

The services rendered for power generation and waste recovery companies, as well as operators of industrial plants, involve the area of air-pollution control and odour control, as well as consultations to optimize combustion processes.

These services complement the already existing Section of "Environment / Noise" and the corresponding Division of "Industrial Acoustics".

Simulatiously Müller-BBM’s Cologne branch moved from Kerpen to Düren and has also expanded its range of services. As of July 2007, Dr. Jörg Siebert has joined the team of Dr. Ralph Semmler (expert in accordance with § 29a of the German Federal Immission Control Act in the area of safety technology). Dr. Siebert brings profound knowledge in the field of authorization management, environmental compatibility assessments and noise predictions.

With the strategic acquisition in Berlin, as well as the move of the Cologne branch office to Düren, Müller-BBM expands its network of branch offices and broadens its range of consultancy services in Germany in order to achieve an optimum local presence and customer service.

Now the Sector "Environment / Air" of the company Müller-BBM counts more than 60 employees at eight sites nationwide.
