Müller-BBM subsidiary Orga Lab celebrates its 20th anniversary

Orga Lab was founded in Franconia in 1990 and, since 2002, belongs to the internationally operating Müller-BBM Group based in Planegg near Munich. Material and product testing services have since rounded off the spectrum of services offered by the Müller-BBM Group with its engineering societies and companies for special technical and software products.

"Looking at the company from the outside, one could get the impression that not much has changed over the last two decades" says Volker Liebig, one of the two managing directors of Orga Lab in Zirndorf. "But if you take a closer look, you see that this is not true. In fact, the entire company as well as our markets have changed completely."

Only a few years ago, Orga Lab was one of a host of environmental laboratories in Germany competing for environmental assays from pollution legacy, but now "we enhance our analyses with consulting services" states Gabriel Wächter, also managing director at Orga Lab.

Since the end of 2006, the analysts from the Fürth area have completely committed themselves to elaborate material and product testing. They offer consulting services to their industrial clients from all over Germany, be it production issues, cases of damage or conformity assessments.

In order to do so, the complete analysis portfolio was modified, investments in technology were made and the scope of accreditations according to European and international standards was adapted to the clients’ requirements.

"Our aim is not to solve problems that could have been avoided, but to help our clients to prevent these from happening at all", comments Nils Opel, Technical Responsible at Orga Lab.

Orga Lab’s success story is expected to continue, thanks to the strategy of expansion its parent company is following in the areas of Construction, Environment and Technology and the worldwide activities of the Müller-BBM Group.

Orga Lab celebrates its 20th anniversary by supporting - along with the "Kulturstiftung Erlangen" and the company Faber Castell - Erlangen‘s artist and painter Roger Libesch in his production of a catalogue with current works.
