Amendment of the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA Luft) expected for the second quarter of 2020 – more details and further information will be given on 18th/19th March 2020 in Munich

With regard to environmental legislation, 2020 will be an exciting year. The amendment of TA Luft is expected for the middle of the year – however, this was also the case in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The requirements stated in TA Luft and also those given in the Technical Instructions on Noise Control (TA Lärm) and their interpretation again and again lead to complex and challenging questions concerning the licensing of projects and the renovation of existing plants. Plant operators and responsible planners need to know what aspects have to be taken into account for current and future licensing procedures.

Within the scope of the 12th Müller-BBM expert discussions, top-class speakers from administration, industry and consulting will report about current practical examples from the fields of urban planning, air pollution control as well as Major Accidents Law and EIA law and provide answers to many questions.

The conference will be opened with a welcoming speech from Dr. Monika Kratzer, ministerial director and Head of the Department for Climate Protection, Technical Environmental Protection and Recycling Economy of the Bavarian State Ministry for Environment and Consumer Protection.

The opening lecture on 18th March will be held by Prof. Dr. Claudia Hornberg, Chairwoman of the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU) in Berlin and holder of the professorship for Environment and Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Bielefeld.
