EU administrative assistance for ministry officials from the North Cyprus Community

On 22nd August 2019 a delegation of ministry officials from the North Cyprus Community visited the Müller-BBM GmbH in Planegg. The study visit of the government representatives was carried out within the scope of the TAIEX program of the EU Commission for the implementation of the EU VOC directives in the „North Cyprus Community“. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Richard Schlachter, Head of Suject Area 50 – Technical Environmental Protection of the regional government of Upper Bavaria. The delegation was welcomed by managing director Walter Grotz. Then, Stephan Hempfling, coordinator of Müller-BBM’s  Emission Measurement Division, explained the procedure concerning the authorisation of measuring institutes, the requirements on sampling points, test setup, measuring equipment etc, in particular for VOC (total C and individual organic compounds) and the preparation of emission test reports.

In the practical part, the measuring setups and the required measuring equipment as well as the measuring technology for odour emission measurements and analyses were shown in the technical center of the Müller-BBM GmbH.
